I was reading Numbers 27 recently and something spoke to me. God tells Moses to go up on a mountain and look over into the promise land, after which he will die and not get to go in. What struck me was Moses’ response. No argument, no plea or rationalization or counter offer. He basically said, “Okay. Who have you chosen to replace me so I can pass the torch.”
I instantly thought of Moses’ first encounter with God. God called him to lead the people. Moses argued, made excuses, begged to be let off the hook. Forty years of walking with God had taught Moses to hear, trust and act accordingly.
My encouragement to you: As you walk with God, the more you know Him, the more you trust Him.
Good word.
